What Freemasonry Means To Us.
Being a Free Mason means that we strive to live our lives 'on the level' with everyone. It also means that we do our utmost to deal 'on the square' with those around us. This means that you don't just tolerate diversity but that we will do our best to embrace it.
We feel that Masonic wisdom is as revelant in modern society as it was in the time of King Solomon. The world is evolving at an ever increasing pace and we believe we have much to offer men of good character wishing to become actively involved in securing a safe and moral environment.

Unity Lodge performs a successfull Installation.
Brethren, Unity Lodge held a successful Installation on Saturday 23 rd. June which saw Wor. Bro. Gary Cristaldi installed as Wor. Master. An interesting facet was seeing his son Jarod being installed as Senior Warden thus opening up the real posibility that next year we will see the Wor. Master Installing his son who is a third generation Unity Lodge Member. Jarod is the Grandson of Wor. Bro. Norm Wilson who was Master of Unity Lodge 1967-68.
The Deputy District Grand Master offered congratulations to both the Wor. Master and his Officers for a successful year and to the Installing Master and Direcor of Ceremonies and their team for the manner in which the Ceremony was performed.
A very enjoyable Festive Board was held in the South with the Wor. Master and his Wardens being piped in. Wor. Bro. "Jock" Reid then provided some light background music on the small pipes while the Brethren enjoyed seafood coctails, three varities of meat and vegetables, and a choice of two sweets. Wine and other drinks were provided in the fare. Many thanks to our Secretary, V. Wor. Bro. Bligh, our ladies, and helpers.
The Haggis was suitably piped in with Bro. Kyle Sutton, as our last raised M.M., aforded the honour of carrying the Haggis. The Address to the Haggis was performed by the District Grand Deputy Director of Ceremonies in his b_r_o_a_d Scottish accent and with very impressive weilding of the knife. A very enjoyable evening.
The Lodge has a large workload ahead for the rest of the year with a Second Degree coming up, three Third Degrees and two petitioners.
Our newly Installed Director of Ceremonies, Rt. Wor. Bro. Lyle Mc. Grath P.D.G.M., intends giving a lecturette at our July meeting on the duties of Lodge Officers.
Full time University students are invited to enquire about our reduced membership fees by enquiring through our contact page on this web site.
Unity Lodge adopts a new logo.
Unity Lodge Members are happy to announce the adoption of a new Lodge Logo to be used on our letter head and Meeting notices. Many Masons in the District of North Queensland will recoginise that the new logo incorporates our old logo - which has stood the test of time having appeared on our Installation cards at least as far back as 1950 - and that of Balmoral Lodge.
The original Logo may be seen in our Gallery2 page of this web site showing place mats at Wor. Bro. Pollock's Installation in 1950.
Unity Lodge Members wish to acknowledge the work done by one of our new Fellowcraft Members, Bro. Yague, in bringing us this attractive new logo.
